The third and final outfit: when the trip's length and pace are known and the question is how long, the formula turns once more — t=dvt = \dfrac{d}{v}, read aloud t equals d over v. The road, divided by how fast you eat it. 60 metres at 3 metres per second: 60÷3=2060 \div 3 = 20 seconds. Every “are we there yet” ever asked is this formula, waiting to be written down.
