Exam-hall rules, acceptance day

This is the boss. No calculator. Enthalpies are rounded to the nearest ten and the latent heat to a flat 2,400 kJ/kg — the kind of rounding an engineer does out loud on the machine floor, and the numbers are chosen to fit in your head.

One machine, one long problem, and every answer feeds the next: the exhaust enthalpy from the quality, then the specific work, then the shaft power, then the cycle efficiency the whole plant is judged on. Write each line down as you go — one early slip rolls all the way to the generator terminals, and the finish will show you exactly where it started.

Everything from the chapter rides in it. 5★ under par here is the chapter crown. Clock in.
