Thermal expansion coefficientexact by definition

The reciprocal Celsius degree is numerically identical to the reciprocal kelvin, because a Celsius degree and a kelvin are the same size as intervals. The factor of 1 is exact by definition. Material data sheets use the two interchangeably, and no conversion is ever needed between them.

Watch out: The degree here is an interval, so the 273.15 offset between the Celsius and kelvin scales plays no part. This is a place where the absolute-versus-interval distinction saves work rather than causing it.
