Watch out: This is not the ounce that precious metals are priced in. A troy ounce is 31.103 grams, about 10 percent heavier, so a gold price quoted per ounce is per troy ounce and converting it with the avoirdupois figure overstates the price per kilogram by that margin. Fluid ounces are a volume and unrelated to either.
