cal/K

calorie per kelvin

Heat capacityexact by definition

The calorie per kelvin is 4.184 J/K on the thermochemical calorie. It is the natural unit for bomb calorimetry, where the calorimeter constant is what you calibrate before any sample goes in.

Watch out: Older calorimetry is built on the 15 °C calorie or the IT calorie. Check which before combining a historic calorimeter constant with a modern energy figure; the spread is about 0.1%.
