Temperatureexact by definition

A megakelvin is 10⁶ K exactly. This is the scale at which matter is fully ionised and nuclear reactions begin: the sun's core runs at about 15.7 MK, and a tokamak plasma at 100 to 150 MK, which is where deuterium and tritium fuse fast enough to matter.

Watch out: Fusion papers usually quote plasma temperature in keV instead, as an energy per particle: 1 keV corresponds to 11.605 MK. Seeing "10 keV plasma" and "116 MK plasma" as the same statement takes some getting used to.
