fn
fortnight
Timeexact by definition
A fortnight is exactly 14 days, or 1,209,600 seconds. It remains the standard pay period across much of Britain, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, and the ordinary way of speaking about a two-week span there.
Watch out: It is also the punchline of the furlong per fortnight, a deliberately absurd unit of speed used to make the point that any combination of units is legal and only some are useful. The fortnight itself is perfectly serious.
