μHz
microhertz
Frequencyexact by definition
The microhertz is 10⁻⁶ hertz, one cycle every 11.6 days. It is the unit of helioseismology and asteroseismology: the sun's p-mode oscillations peak near 3,000 μHz, and Kepler and TESS measure stellar oscillation frequencies in μHz to infer masses and ages.
