dyn·cm
dyne centimeter
Torqueexact by definition
The dyne centimetre is the CGS unit of torque, exactly 10⁻⁷ newton metres, and dimensionally the same thing as the erg. It appears in rheometry, magnetics and older physics literature.
Watch out: A rheometer reporting in dyn·cm is measuring torque; the identical number in ergs would be energy. The instrument means torque.
