BTU/h

BTU per hour

Powerexact by definition

The BTU per hour is one International Table BTU of heat delivered or removed each hour, equal to 0.293071... watts. The definition is exact, following from the exact BTU and the exact hour, though the decimal does not terminate. It is the standard rating unit for North American furnaces, boilers, air conditioners and appliances.

Watch out: Equipment ratings are often spoken as "BTUs" with the per-hour dropped, which turns an energy into a power by convention. A "60 000 BTU furnace" means 60 000 BTU/h, a rate, not a total. The handy conversion is 3412 BTU/h per kilowatt.
