rad/s²

radian per second squared

Angular accelerationexact by definition

The radian per second squared is the SI coherent unit of angular acceleration, usually written \(\alpha\). It is what appears in the rotational form of Newton's second law, \(\tau = I\alpha\), where torque in newton-metres divided by moment of inertia in kg·m² gives rad/s² directly. Its relation to the base units is exact by definition.
