rev/s²
revolution per second squared
Angular accelerationexact by definition
The revolution per second squared is exactly \(2\pi\) radians per second squared, about 6.2832 rad/s². It is occasionally used in spin-up and spin-down specifications where whole turns are the natural count. The relation is exact by definition.
Watch out: Ramp rates on motor drives are more often given as rpm per second, which is a different unit again: 1 rpm/s is \(\pi/30 \approx 0.1047\) rad/s², sixty times smaller than one revolution per second squared.
