The gram per millilitre is numerically identical to the gram per cubic centimetre, so it is exactly 1000 kg/m³. The equality is exact because the litre has been defined as exactly one cubic decimetre since 1964, making one millilitre exactly one cubic centimetre.

Watch out: Between 1901 and 1964 the litre was defined as the volume of one kilogram of water at its density maximum, which made it 1.000028 dm³. Densities quoted in g/mL from that era differ from g/cm³ in the fifth decimal place. This matters only in high-precision historical metrology, but it is the reason the two units were once genuinely distinct.
