kgf/cm²
kilogram-force per square centimeter
Pressureexact by definition
The kilogram-force per square centimetre is exactly 98066.5 pascals, very nearly one bar and very nearly one atmosphere. It is the gravitational-system pressure unit and remains the default on gauges, compressors and hydraulic equipment across Japan, Korea, India, Russia and much of southern Europe.
Watch out: It is also called the technical atmosphere, symbol at, and it is not the standard atmosphere: 1 at is 0.9678 atm. Treating a gauge marked kgf/cm² as though it read bar introduces a 2 percent error, which is usually tolerable and occasionally not.
