nF
nanofarad
Capacitanceexact by definition
The nanofarad is one billionth of a farad, or one thousand picofarads. It covers timing capacitors, filter and snubber networks, and most film capacitors. The factor of 1e-9 is exact, being an SI prefix.
Watch out: Part markings rarely use the nanofarad. A capacitor marked 104 is 100000 pF, which is 100 nF or 0.1 µF, and many datasheets skip nanofarads entirely and jump from picofarads to microfarads.
