cm/s
centimeter per second

The centimetre per second is exactly 0.01 m/s. It is the conventional unit for hydraulic conductivity in soil mechanics, where values span many orders of magnitude, and for slow flows in the laboratory. The factor is exact by definition.
Watch out: Soil permeability classes are memorised in cm/s: coarse gravels above about 1 cm/s, clean sands near 10⁻³, silts near 10⁻⁶ and intact clays below 10⁻⁷. Converting those to m/s shifts every exponent by two, which is easy to miss.
