kL
kiloliter
Volumeexact by definition
The kilolitre is 1,000 litres, exactly one cubic metre. It is the unit municipal water utilities bill in across much of Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and India, and it is the same volume as the cubic metre used on European water meters.
Watch out: A kilolitre and a cubic metre are identical, which means a water bill in kL and a meter reading in m³ need no conversion at all. Do not scale one to the other.
